Traveling from Yangon in Myanmar to Surathani in Thailand and having a 6-hour layover in Bangkok, my friend Akhi and me had only six hours quickly to do something. I had been here a couple of times, so Bangkok wasn’t a new travel destination and thus I knew what I love about Bangkok. Here I share the three things I would always do when on a layover or arrive in Bangkok.

-
Chang
-
Pad Thai at Koh San Road
-
Massage
______
-
Grab a Chang beer
First thing is definitely going first to a 7 Eleven and grab a Chang beer.
-
Taxi to Khao San Road to eat Pad Thai
Then jump into a taxi to take me to Khao San Road where they have the best Pad Thai – yummy. I actually found the best Pad Thai place on Khao San Road and I totally recommend it. Fun fact: Sometimes I could even eat it up to three times a day.
-
Thai Massage
The next thing I do is to go a little bit off the street from Khao San Road and get a 60-minute oil massage. If you seeking the best Thai massage in Thailand, read the following article about the best local thai massage spot on Koh Phangan island: www.itravelforever.com/best-thai-massage
What I’m also trying to tell you with this short article is that I always try to make my time count wherever I go and it doesn’t matter what it takes to do it !
After those three things you can happily go back to the airport to catch the connecting flight. If you catch a taxi, make sure you leave on time because Bangkok traffic is busy and short journeys cant take up to a couple of hours if you are unlucky.
