For many traveling in Europe, Prague is on their list. It was my birthday surprise trip and we only had 24 hours to discover the city. Here I highlight what Prague has to offer.
Getting there
It was birthday surprise trip, and so when my girlfriend and I headed to the bus station in the morning, I had no idea where I was going. I almost didn’t find out until our arrival when the guy checking my ID said, “enjoy Prague”. We took the Flixbus from Munich to Prague, which only takes 4 hours depending from where you are coming. There are also buses or trains.
How to best discover Prague ?
The best recommendation I can give you is to just go and explore the city on foot. If you don’t like walking, you can also rent a bike.

Chocolate Museum: the chocolate museum in Prague was so funny because we discovered some very special things, and I even bought something for my dad for Christmas.

Discovering Prague by just walking, walking, walking
For instances along the Moldau River
The Charles Bridge: I would only go there in the early morning to avoid the massive tourist crowd – crazy.
Watch the sunset from Manes Bridge to get a really nice view over Charles and the city

The Castle
The castle area was nice and wandering around didn’t impress me much after having seen the cathedrals in Strasbourg, Barcelona, Cologne. Suddenly, I connected with some people from India – Namaste!

Going out at night to the Coyote Ugly Bar
Have you watched the film, Coyote Ugly? If yes, you know what I’m talking about.
Where to eat in Prague ?
- Dinner at Bredovský Dvůr; eat local dishes–gulas, svíčková–and beer
- Pho soup at Vietnamese Home Cooking; not very local but really delicious
- Eat trdelnik at staroprazska trdlo in front of Bershka (Trdlocom, Na Příkopě 5, 110 00 Můstek, Prague)

I TRAVEL FOREVER’s VIEW & RECOMMENDATION
The 24-hours I spent in Prague was nice but not amazing. It’s a romantic city and if I hadn’t gone there with my girlfriend, I think I would have found it really boring. If you happen to visit Prague when traveling in Europe, then the best tip I can give is to just walk around experience little alleys, historic buildings and always connect with the locals.
